Installation & Setup

How do I install the plugin?

  1. Download the ZIP file from your purchase email
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload
  3. Choose the ZIP file and click Install
  4. Activate the plugin

How do I activate my license?

  1. Go to Cookie Consent → License
  2. Enter your license key and email
  3. Click “Activate License”

Licensing

Can I use my license on multiple sites?

Depends on your plan:

  • Single Site: 1 domain only
  • Agency: Up to 5 domains
  • Developer: Unlimited domains

Can I move my license to a different domain?

Yes! Deactivate the license on the old site (Cookie Consent → License → Deactivate), then activate it on the new site.

What happens when my support expires?

Your plugin continues to work forever. You just won’t receive:

  • Plugin updates
  • Priority email support
  • New features

You can renew support anytime at 50% of the original price.

Technical Issues

The banner doesn’t appear on my site

Solutions:

  • Clear your browser cookies (you may have already accepted)
  • Test in incognito/private mode
  • Check for JavaScript errors in console (F12)
  • Disable caching plugins temporarily
  • Make sure plugin is activated

Tracking scripts are still running after I rejected

Solutions:

  • Clear browser cookies and test in incognito mode
  • Go to Cookie Consent → Scanner to see all detected scripts
  • Check if tracking codes are in theme files (we block these too)
  • Some scripts might be from WordPress plugins – check their settings

License activation fails with “Connection Error”

Solutions:

  • Check your license server URL is correct
  • Make sure your WordPress site can connect to external URLs
  • Check firewall/security plugin settings
  • Contact your hosting provider about outgoing connections

Customization

Can I change the banner colors?

Yes! Go to Cookie Consent → Settings → Colors. You can customize:

  • Background color
  • Text color
  • Button colors
  • Button text colors

Can I add my logo?

Yes! Go to Cookie Consent → Settings → Logo → Upload Logo or Select from Media Library.

Can I customize the text?

Yes! Go to Cookie Consent → Settings → Messages. You can customize all text shown in the banner.

GDPR Compliance

Does this make my site GDPR compliant?

This plugin helps you implement cookie consent, which is a GDPR requirement. However, GDPR compliance involves many factors beyond cookies. We recommend consulting with a legal professional for complete compliance.

Does it work for CCPA (California)?

Yes! The plugin supports both GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) requirements.

What about Google Consent Mode v2?

Fully supported! This is required for Google Ads in EU/UK since March 2024. Enable it in Settings → Google Consent Mode v2.
